No posting for a while although I do have projects to share - another time. My husband had a heart attack today. He is at the hospital this evening resting comfortably and will be coming home in the next day or two. I love my family; they gave up their evenings to came to sit with us, and Audrey was with me on the phone.

We'd appreciate your prayers. Thank you.

Oh dear Lord Mary. This is just so not what I expected to read on your blog today. I will definitely be praying for a complete and total recovery for your husband. Stay strong and know that many are praying your entire family. We love you!
Hugs,

Hi Mary, I've been way behind on blog reading so I missed this when you first posted it. My husband had a heart attack three years ago this past February. It was such a shock to both of us and I can understand what you two went through. I remember the doctor coming to talk to me after his emergency angioplasty. I was expecting him to tell me Dave was going to be a-okay - just a blip - but that wasn't what he was saying. He was talking damage, didn't know what quality of life would be, etc, etc, etc. I wanted to stop him and tell him he was obviously reading from the wrong script. My husband was a runner and athlete and not doing that anymore was not an option. Well, he's back to running today and in better shape than before his heart attack. You hang in there - be an advocate for your husband, be vigilant over everything the doctors tell him and question, question, question. Our experience taught us that cardiologists are not gods and there is no cookie cutter patient even if they try to treat you like one. Take care of yourself, too. It is a very stressful experience for the spouse, as well.
