I'm the lucky one! Nan at Threadwork Primitives recently had a 3-year blogiversary, and the giveaway prize was a winner's choice of one of her original patterns plus the linen and floss to make it up. And my number was the lucky pick!

Nan really is one of the best cross stitch designers, and her blog is one that I look at often not only for her designs (and she has some freebies as well) but also because her ideas for working up her designs are unique and beautiful. Sometimes I wonder how some people seem to get all the talent for this, and some of us are left short. But it's really nothing to stress out over, so I just pin ideas and keep going.

I just started working up this design and hope to finish it up this month. I've set aside my monthly Christmas ornament project because I have nothing for spring, and this project fits the bill. Nan, thank you again for this wonderful prize!

Congrats!! So glad you won, and that you are getting right at it!! I have such a project backlog right now!
I did want to ask...do you quilt your own projects and if so, what kind of machine do you have?? I want to start dabbling, but don't want something way more than I would use or something not big/good enough to do a quilt. Any advice would be welcome.

I saw on Nan's blog where you won this. Congratulations Mary! I have a few free patterns that I've downloaded and printed off but one of Nan's patterns is the only one I've bought in quite a few years. She does wonderfully prim work! You picked a great one, love that one!
