Retreat recap

A great weekend! Let's start with Audrey who organized this party. This is a Fig Tree pattern made from Minick & Simpson's Claremont Farms fabric.

Audrey gave us a challenge to sew up a project using only items from our stash, and don't we all have enough fabric to do that?!

This is Sarah's. A lot of us had been seeing pictures from the red/white quilt show in NYC. This one was just as lovely.

Lynne's dog quilt was hilarious!

Audrey's Apple Crisp from last fall's American Patchwork and Quilting.

Darcy's red/white blue. What a great quilt for summertime!

This is my piece. Something fun our group does is give each member a fat quarter during her birthday month. The birthday girl choses the color or style of fabric that she wants and ends up with about 14 fat quarters. I chose the color red for a couple of years, and I used those pieces with scrap backgrounds from my stash to make this Atkinson pattern.

There were more tops from this challenge and a darling tote made by Betsy, but I didn't get good pictures to share. So onto the winner - NancyP's! Absolutely stunning and even more beautiful in real life.

Terri wore sunglasses when she showed this bright quilt!

Darcy worked on this quilt for her daughter. It features novelty fabrics that describe things she likes. What a cute idea!

A truly great weekend!

Are you scheduled in again?? I called this weekend to get our sept and march dates for next time... I WILL come over and check you out the next time! What awesome work!! I don't think you did as much talking as we did. And it looks like margaritas could have been dangerous!!
I love your new quilt. Is it a keeper for you?

What a wonderful show! Thanks so much, I spied my basket quilt, how different it looks when you actually follow the pattern! The red and white pinwheel is adorable and I also really love Apple Crisp. But you know me and red, you clever girl, asking for red fat quarters, your quilt is amazing!

Looks like a mighty fun weekend! All the quilts are lovely. I love the red/white/blue one and of course your red one... I'm a red fan too. I'm sure my daughter would pick Terri's quilt, she loves bright colors.

Thanks for sharing all the beautiful quilts!
