If you are new to my blog, here's a quick update. I'm making the From My Garden Album Quilt from the book Hop To It by Edyta Sitar with my blog friends Melanie from Covered Porches and Sue from The House that Love Built/Simply Pieceful Quilting.
I haven't stitched down my pieces yet. You can see that the blue kind of fades away into the background. I'm not sure if I want to swap out those pieces or just go with it. Today I'm spending a lot of time in my sewing room, and I know I'll be in the middle of something when the idea will hit me as to how to handle the blue pieces. I haven't spent a lot of time sewing since the retreat three weeks ago, and I'm looking forward to this.

Have fun Mary, I love the block, and yes inspiration with the "blue" will come as you work on it! I will be in my sewing room with a big push on the prom gown...I am hoping to make big gains (maybe a close to finished) today...prom is in one week! Miss you, hope to get an email off to you soon! Have a fun and productive sewing day ~~ blessings from my part of PA!
Mary, beautiful block! I have my book out but I have yet to begin it! Too much going on here in Alabama with the storms :(
Hugs,
Donna
I saw Sue's block just a bit ago. Yours is equally well done. I like your fabric choices.
Yep -- I'm last but not least... Love your blocks. I love the different fabrics you chose for leaves. It's ok that it's not done. Sometimes when my quilt projects are lagging I stop and regroup and remind myself :it's a hobby not a chore... and sometimes quilt projects left undone even symbolize just maybe you have your priorities straight and some things are just more important. Hope you get to stitch this weekend.
Mary,
Your block is beautiful. I really, really love it. I so want to learn how to do applique like that!!!
Going to be very pretty when you get it done.
It's a pretty block Mary, I really like all the different shades of green you've used for it.
Sounds like it will be a beautiful quilt when you are finished!
