Leaving for the quilt retreat

It's been fun sharing my retreat plans and projects with you these past weeks; thanks for all the nice comments. My things are parked at the back door, and we'll load the car in the morning. Cousin Cathy and her quilt buddy Chris arrived in town this afternoon with ice cream for all the quilters and about 10 pounds of Chex mix. Sounds like we're set for the weekend!

I made a little treat for my cousins. I knitted face clothes from 100% organic cotton yarn (it's so soft!) and cross stitched their initials on some old linen. The linen squares were made into sachets filled with lavender and crushed walnut shells. I bought some lavender-scented French soap and tied everything together with black ribbon. (Audrey, if you're reading this before you leave, act surprised when I give this to you.)

Hope your weekend will be fun; I know mine will be!

I haven't been by to visit in a while and it looks like you have been just a busy as you could be. In my retirement all I want to do is craft and craft and craft... at least from November to March :), after that it's garden, and garden, and garden.

Sounds like fun!

After Christmas I'll post some of my project, but I can't do that right now 'cause most of them are for gifts.

Love your blog.
Will be visiting more often :)

I could always use more washcloths...... :) Hope you had a great time stitching! And hey, when we were in the States last weekend, I bought the cereal for Chex Mix. Can you believe they don't sell it here? I'm so glad I remembered. I bought 6 boxes of cereal but I wish I had bought more. I love that stuff way too much! And so does everyone else here.
