With blogging, I can hide the real me and not write about the things I've done that I don't want people to know about. Fortunately my daughters who blog haven't written the full story! I want to thank Cora and Carrie for reading about who I am, knowing that I am only human, and liking what they see here.

Thank you both. I know these awards are for blogging, and I appreciate your kind thoughts.
I've been reading some new blogs, and I will pass both awards on to:
1. Renee at Sewn with Grace
2. Linda at Prairie Flower Farm

I'm going to mentally tape my JESUS FOLLOWER sign back together and hang it on my neck. For my friends that read my blog see me in real life, I'll keep trying to live up to what I should be.

I think you are beating yourself up over a very human response....Reember the best mark about God's forgiveness is that it works-- You need to forgive yourself...And remember that sign doesn't mean your perfect.... it just means you are trying.... hugs your way.....
"… it’s much easier to act like a Christian than it is to react like one. Anyone can put on an act. But your reactions reveal what is really in your heart." This is a quote that I refer to a lot...it is so hard....I know exactly what you mean. Here's my good one for you...I was helping a friend decorate for a wedding rehersal dinner in the church fellowship hall and a table turned over and broke a borrowed glass cake dish. I said the sh** word out load before I even realized what I had done, right there in the church! Boy did I feel rotten.
I know God forgives me when I ask...but I still felt bad that someone working there had seen a side of me that I was not happy with. (Confessions feel good)
Take care my friend.
PS...I love surprise mail :)
Mary oh Mary you are being much to hard on yourself...we have all been there! God understands, He allows us to be human so that we can remember and know to reach out to Him for understanding and forgiveness! Your 'muffin recipe' on your previous blog entry looks so yummy, if only I had the ingredients handy! Have a great week, blessings to you!
Well, we cant be as perfect as we 'should' be all the time, but trying hard is good!
Ah Mary! Don't we all deal with this at one time or another. It is so much harder to be the strong Christian when you are in the workplace, especially if they know you are Christian. You are watched to see how you react. Who doesn't mess up? We are all human. I'm just so very thankful for a loving Father who will allow me to come to Him and ask His forgiveness. Don't you worry girl, we all know what a sweet spirit you are!
Mary, You are great! Do you think the rest of us don't react "in the flesh" on occasion? Just keep your love of Jesus, and your light shining. :-}
Pokey
Yes Mary, sometimes we have to make sure we don't hang ourselves with our signs. Aren't we so lucky that God is so forgiving and patient with us when we sometimes forget how to be this way to others! We are not a perfect bunch and that is what keeps us on our knees.
Hugs,
AMY
Mom, I love you. Don't worry - I definatly think you'd be a Jesus Follower. I learn so much from you - even reading your blog. I'm so glad you have one. You're great - and today I had to check myself to see if my tape was intact with my sign around my neck.
Thank you for the kind awards, it means alot to me! I know that God placed your post on your heart so that I could read it today. I kept thinking earlier, if God called me home today, what would people say about me? Would it be, she was a nice lady and made quilts? I really want it to be that she loved Jesus, shared Him with others and used the gifts He gave her to bless others. I've got alot of work to do. Thank you!
What a sweet post~you have a wonderful day ~Friend!
You sound totally human - and that's the BEST you!! ♥
