A day of antiquing

Surprisingly antiquing with a two-year-old isin't all that crazy! Yesterday Natalie was very good about not touching, but I did make an exception when she found a 1960's metal dollhouse with plastic furniture. I had one just like it that my cousin Char passed onto me years ago. I would have loved to have bought it for $30 and may just go back for it.

I did pick up a couple small ironsone pieces and this graniteware bowl. Sunday is stitch day, and I have a new decoration to display on the table while we stitch.

The rain is coming down in buckets, and I mean buckets! The weathermen are predicting it will let up this afternoon, and I hope they are right. We're heading to the ballpark later, and I don't look forward to an evening of umbrellas and rain!

I love, love that candle with the spools, is that a granite pan that I see? What a clever idea, and displayed on a crate...most of my house and my daughters house has old crates everywhere...aren't they cool? Oh the metal doll house, *yes* memories for sure, I still have the one belonging to my daughter tucked in the attic, I wonder if she would like to have it to display, I need to ask her! Have a wonderful day, enjoy the time with family, and I pray the rain will stop to allow you time at the ballgame!

This is my favorite way to spend the day.
I love to look for treasures!
