Anyway, I saw Lorrie's Christmas pinwheel quilt and knew that I could duplicate that pattern for a baby quilt - quick and easy! And then this tutorial was on the Moda Bakeshop. I didn't have a charm pack to spare, so I used some fat quarters.
I love how this turned out! (Yes, I know I haven't trimmed the border at the top.) The retreat starts Friday, and I don't even have my projects cut. Not sure where I'll get the time to quilt this, but it's on the to-do list.

It turned out beautiful! I have 2 baby quilts to finish before the end of the year and having a difficult time choosing fabric and pattern for them. My daughter wants brown and green for her babys quilt. Which is not very inspiring! The other quilt, I plan to sew a sailboat with traditional blues. Love the bright colors you used in your pinwheel!
I was so excited to see you post... You know pinwheels are my favorite quilts. I've made 3--- never kept one of them. My latest fad is homemade Charm packs or layer cakes--- It makes me feel like I have $$$ on something else.
That is a VERY sweet baby quilt, Mary. The ladies from our church have just formed a small quilting group to do the same thing...make baby quilts for the mothers in the church who've just had babies. I would love to see it venture out even further to the nursing homes.
It's a beauty and I hope you have a great week.
Super cute!! I just love the primary colors!!
