Sunday stitch day

It has been a fun weekend! Friday evening my family (less the Canadian son in law) went to a small fair about 10 minutes from our house. Natalie loved the horses. In the Percheon barn, one owner offered to let her sit on their horse while her son held onto Natie. The look on her little face told us she was thrilled. So that led to a pony ride and then a merry go round ride on a horse. I think the best part was the miniature horses; she could see eye to eye with them.

Saturday my daughters, Audrey, and I went to a craft show. My budget was $40 for the day, and I was able to shop and have some money left over. There were lots of funky, prim pincushions, and Audrey bought a darling pinkeep. It was an old quilt square with stuffing in the center and then stuck into the cup. Sorry I don't have a picture.

Today is stitch day at my house. Even though the day won't be chilly, this is what I'll be serving.

CINNAMON CIDER
4 cups cider or apple juice
1/4 cup red hots

Combine both ingredients in a large pan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer until the candies dissolve. Keep warm in a crockpot.

This is the project I will be working on; it is Justice for All by Blackbird Designs. It is working up fast, and it'll be easy to talk and stitch with this project.

Hope you are enjoying your weekend as well!

Have fun today! I am sure you enjoyed your Saturday too! Your planned stitchery is so creative, is it *counted cross stitch* or embroidery? Have a wonderful week!

I've been thinking of putting together: apples, cider, red hots just for the smell. And maybe freeze/thaw for repeated use in the potpourri warmer. I think the combo would smell so much like my favorite Yankee Candle "Home Sweet Home". But your version sounds more delicious! Great idea! I love your stitching project, and sounds like everyone had a wonderful time at the fair! -Tammy

Hey there

Just stopping by to get some idea of what types of things you like. And I saw your recipe for gobs! We make gobs too, our recipe is a little different, but they are a staple on my cookie trays at Christmas and a treat throughout the year!!!

I just became a follower, so I'll be back soon.
