My son in law Travis and his dad Dale have a small maple syrup production, and yesterday was the first day to boil sap for the new year. We get a jug every spring, and it usually sees us through to the next year. They boil their sap over a wood fire, and the taste is much better than what you buy in a store.

As much as I love their syrup, I still think the sweetest thing Travis has helped produce is little Natalie.
