There is a lot to do this weekend.  I have the house to myself, and I've been knitting, cross stitching, and making tiny patchwork basket blocks.  So far my stack numbers 170 blocks; I have 130 to go.  It's a quiet Sunday morning (except for those noisy birds that can almost drive me nuts).
I washed my Christmas quilt and hung it on the line to dry.  I know some may be horrified to see this done - wet quilt on a clothesline where the sun can get fade the fabric.  My quilts are made to be enjoyed and used.  If one falls apart, God knows I have a stack of patterns and tons of ideas to replace it with several more.  And I'll bet you do, too!

To me, there's nothing more beautiful than a fresh-washed quilt hanging on the clothesline. I'm all for using things.

What a beautiful quilt! I'm glad you enjoy them all...I know people who make them and then stick them in a cupboard. Enjoy your afternoon!!

Lovin' this quilt! I have a Christmas quilt that was never finished. Throw that on the to-do list! And I made baby quilts for kids that never left the back of the rocker. When they got older, I made them for their beds and they were excited. I said just one catch-go home, put them on your beds, and USE THEM!! I'll never make you another until you wear that one out!!

Your quilt is SO pretty--I had to look carefully to figure out if it was a photograph or a print of a quilt. Beautiful!

This is just beautiful - how nice to see a Christmas quilt in June! I love the idea of hanging it on the clothes line - I wish I had one!

Never understood why someone makes hundreds of quilts and puts them away.... just to make another one. What can someone possibly do with all of them? I'm all for using them as they were intended! It looks great ....

I love number one that it's a Christmas quilt - it's almost 6months away:)

And I think that things are to be "well loved" and used every day!

Hope that all is well!

I love your perspective on quilts. Christmas will be here before we know it! You'll be ready. :) My favorite quilt is one my granny made me when I got married - aqua and red, her favorite colors. I wish I had the room for quilt-making right now. Can't wait to spread out again.

It is beautiful! I think it is grand on the line, and you are not leaving it out there for weeks. I'm like you, if it's to be enjoyed, don't put it in a closet ~

Beautiful, beautiful quilt! And, I love your philosophy - yes, a quilt is to be used and more can be made!
Happy Sewing!!!
